Exam note: हिंदी (Second Language): one 80-mark paper of three hours. Section A (Language, 40 marks, compulsory): composition, letter, unseen passage and grammar. Section B (Prescribed Texts, 40 marks): four questions from ONLY two of the prescribed books. From 2027 the ICSE paper is set ONLY on the texts prescribed for Class X. Assignments are assessed in school for 20 marks.
