Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of QuestionBuddy (questionbuddy.in), run by Fitnitro Technology Private Limited. By creating an account or using QuestionBuddy, you agree to them. If you are a parent, you also agree to them on behalf of each child you add.

What QuestionBuddy is

QuestionBuddy is an independent study and practice service for CBSE, ICSE and ISC students in Classes 8 to 12. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to CBSE, CISCE or NCERT. Official syllabuses, textbooks and marking schemes from those bodies remain the authority for your exams.

Accounts

  • Accounts are created by a parent or lawful guardian, or by a student aged 18 or over. You must be 18 or over to hold an account.
  • A parent can add their children as profiles, each with their own board and class, and must give consent before a child under 18 can practise or upload anything.
  • A parent can give a child their own username and PIN. The parent is responsible for activity under their account and their children's logins.
  • Give accurate details and keep your password and your child's PIN private. Accounts are for your own family and may not be shared, sold or used by a school or tutor for other children.

Free and paid plans

  • Chapter study pages and a free level of practice are free. We may change what the free level includes.
  • Paid plans, with prices in rupees: Exam Pass ₹799 (GST included; one child in Class 10 or 12, from purchase to 31 March of the exam year, and to 31 May for CBSE Class 10 students for the May improvement exam; sold from 1 December to 15 March); Year Plan ₹1,499 plus 18% GST (₹1,768.82 at checkout; one child, 365 days); Next-class renewal ₹1,499 (GST included; one child who has had a paid plan, 365 days).   • Every payment is a one-time payment. Plans do not renew automatically and we never charge you again unless you choose to buy.
  • AI features have monthly limits per child, shown on the pricing page and in the product (for example, answers marked by the Answer Coach each month). Limits reset on the 1st of each month, India time. We may change limits on the Free plan; we will not reduce a paid plan's limits during the period you paid for.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay.
  • You can get a full refund within 7 days of payment, with no reason needed. See our refund and cancellation policy.

AI marking and feedback

Some marks, feedback and hints are produced with the help of AI. They are practice guidance, not official assessments, and they can be wrong. Do not rely on them as the only basis for decisions about exams. If a mark or explanation looks wrong, use the "this mark looks wrong" button or email us and we will review it.

Our content

The explanations, solutions, study pages, software and design of QuestionBuddy belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own family's study. You may not copy, scrape, republish or sell them, or use them to build a competing service. Questions from official board papers are credited to their boards. Answers you write stay yours; you allow us to process them to mark them and to run the service.

Acceptable use

  • No automated access, scraping, or attempts to get around limits or security.
  • No uploading of anything unlawful, abusive, or that is not your own or your child's work.
  • No uploading of photos that show faces or personal details beyond the answer itself.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why.

Privacy

How we handle personal data, including children's data and parental consent, is explained in our privacy policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep QuestionBuddy available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or stop features. If we change these terms in a material way, we will tell you before the change takes effect.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam results. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
