  1. Organisation (2 marks): a single formal paragraph that compares the two charts logically and ends with a conclusion.

    2 marks
  2. Content (2 marks):
The two charts show that healthy eating is vital at every age. For adults it may add years to life, lowers the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some cancers, and supports healthy pregnancies and breastfeeding. For children it supports brain development and healthy growth. Both groups gain from stronger bones, supported muscles, a boosted immune system, better digestion, healthy skin, teeth and eyes, and a healthy weight. The chief difference is that adults need food to prevent lifestyle diseases and sustain reproductive health, while children need it to build the body and brain. Some may argue that treats do no harm, but the charts clearly show that a balanced diet protects health from childhood through adulthood.
