  1. विषय-वस्तु (3 अंक), मॉडल लघुकथा — 'सबसे बड़ा कौन': 'एक दिन जंगल में पर्वत, नदी और वृक्ष में बहस छिड़ गई कि सबसे बड़ा कौन है। पर्वत बोला, "मेरी ऊँचाई देखो, आकाश छूता हूँ।" नदी ने कहा, "मैं सबकी प्यास बुझाती हूँ।" वृक्ष बोला, "मैं छाया और फल देता हूँ।" तीनों झगड़ ही रहे थे कि पास से एक बुज़ुर्ग किसान गुज़रा। उन्होंने उससे निर्णय माँगा। किसान मुस्कराया, "पर्वत से नदी निकलती है, नदी से पेड़ पनपता है और पेड़ ही पर्वत की मिट्टी थामता है। तुम सब एक-दूसरे पर निर्भर हो। जो दूसरों के काम आए, वही बड़ा है।" तीनों लज्जित हो गए और मिल-जुलकर रहने लगे। सीख: अहंकार नहीं, परोपकार और सहयोग से कोई बड़ा बनता है।'
