  1. भूमिका: 'जब आवत संतोष धन, सब धन धूरि समान' का अर्थ है कि संतोष रूपी धन मिलने पर अन्य सभी धन मिट्टी के समान लगते हैं।

  2. विषयवस्तु: मानव इच्छाओं का कोई अंत नहीं; एक पूरी होते ही दूसरी जन्म लेती है और मनुष्य भागदौड़ में सुख-चैन खो देता है। संतोष ही सच्चा धन है जो संतुष्टि और प्रसन्नता देता है। संतोषी व्यक्ति कम साधनों में भी सुखी रहता है। लालसा पर नियंत्रण से जीवन शांत और संतुलित बनता है।
