Content, health risks: Sir/Madam, a recent report on adulterated food and dairy products alarmed me. Adulterated milk, spices and sweets cause diarrhoea, stomach cramps and food poisoning. They can also trigger allergic reactions such as rashes, and long-term use may affect children's brain development.

Content, suggestions: Agencies should run regular raids and impose strict punishment on offenders. Public awareness campaigns and home-testing kits would help consumers. Authorities must also be proactive instead of acting only after a scandal.

Organisation: a polite formal tone, with an opening paragraph on the issue, a middle paragraph on the risks and a closing paragraph on the measures and a request to publish the letter.
