Answer: Teenagers aged 14-17 are drawn to varied activities, but their suitability differs. Dance, music and art nurture creativity and emotional expression, and build confidence. Outdoor sports such as cricket, hockey, basketball, soccer and tennis improve fitness, teamwork and discipline, aiding physical and mental growth. In contrast, computer games, net surfing and social media are popular for entertainment and information. However, excessive use harms eyesight, sleep and concentration and may cause isolation or anxiety. Therefore, such activities should be limited and supervised. In addition, creative and physical activities contribute most to personality development. Overall, a balanced routine combining arts, sports and moderate digital use is best suited to adolescents.
