Open one hint at a time and try again before the next.

Hint 1

Write one paragraph, not a list. Use each table point as a sentence.

Hint 2

Use linking words such as 'however', 'in addition' and 'therefore' to connect pros and cons.

Hint 3

Finish with a short inference about using the internet wisely, and count that you reach 120 words.

Step-by-step solution

Each step shows the marks it earns, as an examiner would award them. Checked by an independent re-solve from the question paper.

  1. Pros (content, 2 marks): The internet is a double-edged sword with many advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, it provides connectivity, bringing people across the world together at the click of a button. Communication is fast, and it allows versatile ways of working from anywhere. Learning has been redefined, as students can access countless resources and online classes. Data can be transferred instantly and conveniently.

  2. Cons (content, 2 marks): However, there are serious drawbacks. Data security is at risk because personal information can be hacked or misused. In contrast to its promise of connection, it leads to social isolation, as people prefer screens to real interaction. Many become addicted to it, which harms health and studies. In addition, plagiarism and copyright violations are rising because content is copied easily. Therefore, the internet should be used wisely and with responsibility, so that its benefits outweigh its harms. (about 125 words in all, in a single paragraph with linking words)
