Why is she paid more than her capital?
Hint 2
Her share is 1 out of 3 + 2 + 1.
Step-by-step solution
Each step shows the marks it earns, as an examiner would award them. Checked by an independent re-solve from the question paper.
Payment above her capital balance is her share of goodwill: 2,25,000 − 1,80,000 = ₹ 45,000.

Madhuri's share is 1/6, so firm's goodwill = 45,000 × 6 = ₹ 2,70,000. Option (D).
