Hints
Open one hint at a time and try again before the next.
Hint 1
Rebuild Aman's capital account to find his drawings.
Hint 2
With no dates, charge interest for half a year.
Step-by-step solution
Each step shows the marks it earns, as an examiner would award them. Checked by an independent re-solve from the question paper.
Aman's capital: ₹ 2,00,000 + profit share 3/5 × ₹ 3,00,000 = ₹ 1,80,000, less drawings, = ₹ 3,00,000. So drawings = ₹ 80,000.
- 1 mark
Dates are not given, so interest is for an average of 6 months: ₹ 80,000 × 10% × 6/12 = ₹ 4,000. Option (A).
Answer: (A) ₹ 4,000
Where the marks are
- Drawings ₹ 80,000 found from the capital account; 6 months' interest (1 mark)
