Hints
Open one hint at a time and try again before the next.
Hint 1
Leave raw material out of this line.
Hint 2
Change = opening inventory − closing inventory.
Step-by-step solution
Each step shows the marks it earns, as an examiner would award them. Checked by an independent re-solve from the question paper.
Change in inventories covers work-in-progress, finished goods and stock-in-trade only; raw material goes into cost of materials consumed.
- 1 mark
Opening = 1,40,000 + 1,00,000 + 1,20,000 = ₹ 3,60,000; closing = 1,00,000 + 70,000 + 2,00,000 = ₹ 3,70,000. Change = opening − closing = ₹ (10,000). Option (C).
Answer: (C) ₹ (10,000)
Where the marks are
