1. Area of sector $=\frac{\theta }{360^{\circ }}\pi r^2=\frac{90}{360}\times \frac{22}{7}\times 7\times 7$

3. Area of circle $=\pi r^2=\frac{22}{7}\times 7\times 7=154{\text{cm}}^2$

4. Area of major sector $=154-38.5=115.5{\text{cm}}^2$

   ½ mark

Answer: Minor sector 38.5 cm²; major sector 115.5 cm²
