    The Principal
    PQS Public School

Subject: Overcrowding in the school bus

    Respected Sir/Madam,

    1 mark
  2. Issue: I am a Class X student and travel daily by school bus no. 4. Its seating capacity is 35, but far more students board it, so many of us stand for most of the journey. The bus also arrives late because of this crowding.

    1 mark
  3. Dangers and requests: standing students risk falls and injuries during sudden braking, and the stuffy air causes breathlessness and fatigue. I request you to add one more bus on this route and to appoint an attendant to keep the number of students within the seating limit.

    1 mark
  4. Organisation: the letter is in paragraphs, in a polite formal tone, and moves from the problem to the dangers to the request.

    1 mark
  5. Closing: I hope you will resolve this matter soon. Thank you.

    Yours obediently,
    Vishal
