Exam note: English Language (English 801). Class XI is a school examination: CISCE says the Class XI final examination is conducted internally by schools. The ISC 2028 syllabus (headed "Classes XI & XII") gives Paper I (Theory, 3 hours, 80 marks) with four compulsory questions: composition, directed writing and proposal writing, grammar, and comprehension with summary. Paper II (20 marks) in Class XI is listening and speaking, assessed in school.
